Requirements

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience in advertising, marketing, or a creative agency environment
  • Exceptional storytelling and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to write for multiple platforms, including digital, social, video, and print
  • Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and brand tone consistency
  • SEO knowledge and ability to optimize copy for digital platforms
  • Familiarity with marketing and advertising best practices
  • Ability to interpret briefs, develop creative concepts, and execute them effectively
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with designers, strategists, and marketing teams
  • Interest in GenAI and automation tools, with a curiosity about their potential to improve creative workflows

Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging, consumer-friendly copy for digital, print, social, email, and video content
  • Craft persuasive, action-oriented messaging for advertising campaigns, promotional materials, and product storytelling
  • Adapt tone and messaging to fit different audiences, platforms, and campaign objectives
  • Ensure all copy adheres to BISSELL’s brand voice, messaging strategy, and style guidelines
  • Write SEO-optimized copy for digital platforms, ensuring content is discoverable and high-performing
  • Develop compelling product descriptions and packaging copy that highlight BISSELL’s unique value propositions
  • Work with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Designers to bring creative ideas to life
  • Support marketing and brand teams in developing content that aligns with campaign strategies and business objectives
  • Assist in the creation of storyboards, video scripts, and motion graphics messaging
  • Partner with the legal and compliance teams to ensure copy meets regulatory requirements
  • Research and analyze consumer insights, market trends, and competitor messaging to strengthen brand storytelling
  • Stay ahead of content marketing trends, bringing fresh ideas to the team
  • Utilize GenAI-powered writing tools to enhance productivity, refine messaging, and streamline workflow efficiencies
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
  • Maintain a library of brand copy assets, ensuring consistency across all consumer-facing materials

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in consumer product marketing or retail advertising
  • Experience writing product descriptions and packaging copy
  • Knowledge of UX writing and content strategy for websites and apps
