Controller – Manufacturing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred)
• Minimum of 7–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis and financial modeling
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws
• Oversee and analyze cost accounting functions; establish and maintain standard costs and inventory valuation
• Partner with operations to improve cost efficiencies and provide variance analysis
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting
• Provide variance analysis and financial commentary to management
• Develop and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Manage and mentor the accounting team; ensure strong performance and professional development
• Foster collaboration across departments to ensure financial transparency and accountability
• Oversee ERP systems relevant to accounting and manufacturing operations
• Drive process improvements through system enhancements and automation
