Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 7–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis and financial modeling
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws
- Oversee and analyze cost accounting functions; establish and maintain standard costs and inventory valuation
- Partner with operations to improve cost efficiencies and provide variance analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting
- Provide variance analysis and financial commentary to management
- Develop and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
- Manage and mentor the accounting team; ensure strong performance and professional development
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure financial transparency and accountability
- Oversee ERP systems relevant to accounting and manufacturing operations
- Drive process improvements through system enhancements and automation
