Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a contracts management role
  • Strong knowledge of contract law
  • Incredibly organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to excel at managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Persuasive and a good negotiator with excellent judgement
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or a degree in law

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison for contract negotiations, representing Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis and/or its clients
  • Maintain a set of standard contract templates for the company, tailored for specific services
  • Maintain and update the internal contract checklist and oversee compliance while identifying any necessary updates & improvements
  • Lead on due diligence process for new clients, using new client checklist to ensure client teams have gathered appropriate information
  • Meet with business partners on our PR, Talent, Brand and other teams to gain understanding of services to inform the contracting process
  • Ensure that contracts are in line with the goals and objectives of SSM&L and its clients and highlight a contract’s risk to the business
  • Manage contracting process for company clients using company templates, interfacing between client teams, finance, and partners; troubleshoot and resolve standard client comments and refer complex or novel issues to counsel as necessary
  • Monitor the performance of contracts; liaise with finance regarding applicable commercial terms (payment timeline, fees, expenses)
  • Work with talent and brand teams to implement talent, influencer and sponsorship arrangements on behalf of clients
  • Establish processes for contract management system, including tracking systems for renewals, non-compete clauses, and changes in clients’ corporate form
  • Alert partners, finance and legal counsel of novel contractual issues as they arise so that they can be addressed proactively
  • Assist client teams with clearances, licenses and standard production-related agreements (hair and makeup, photography, etc.)
