Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills;
- Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.
Responsibilities
- Assist with contract administration and compliance, ensuring that services are delivered with excellence and in alignment with state and federal standards.
- Evaluate contracts, audit files, train staff, and streamline contract systems.
- Contribute to the success of the hospital by supporting contract processes and collaborating with hospital leadership, legal experts, and state procurement professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Detail-Oriented Thinker – Strong ability to analyze complex documents and ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital-specific policies and regulations.
- Contract and Policy Knowledge – Familiarity with Oregon public procurement rules, hospital administration standards, and state contracting processes.
- Skilled Communicator – Able to clearly convey information and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and legal representatives.
- Process Improvement Mindset – Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance contract systems and workflows for increased efficiency and compliance.
- Training and Mentorship Abilities – Comfortable guiding others in contract management practices and delivering both formal and informal training sessions.
