Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of successful execution of continuous improvement, enabling efficiency, effectiveness, and tangible financial benefit
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience with continuous improvement programs, tools, methodologies and lean principles
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving techniques such as A3’s, 5 Why, 8D’s and Fishbone diagrams
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, kaizen and training events
  • Robust knowledge of MS office applications including Project and Visio
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support in the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement projects consistent with and in support of the strategic plan and business operating plan
  • Work with area leaders to identify, modify, and sustain changes including reducing waste and improving inefficiencies
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement via idea generation, leading projects and initiatives from idea generation to execution
  • Investigate, collect data and support implement saving opportunities to continuously increase the savings funnel
  • Help to mobilize problem solving teams and supports groups to streamline processes
  • Facilitate Value Stream Map, Kaizen events, training events and Workshops to drive continuous improvements in conjunction with operations, office areas, remote and transactional processes
  • Participate in multiple projects and apply continuous improvement techniques leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies to solve problems and build new capabilities
  • Ensure every project completed includes the updated process documentation, Standard Work updated to make a successful and sustainable deployment
  • Share best practices and develop coordinated plans
  • Facilitate all continuous improvement initiatives and act as a change agent to challenge all levels and areas of the organization to drive continuous improvements
  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
  • Other duties may be assigned based on organizational needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification preferred
  • Experience within transactional processes & manufacturing industry preferred
