Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in a related field, possessing deep knowledge and expertise in English Language Arts (ELA)
- 2+ years of experience teaching English Language Arts (ELA) at the grades 6 -12 or university level
- Ability to harness creativity, empathy, and pragmatism to design learning experiences that are standards-aligned
- Commitment to equity and delivering engaging and meaningful learning experiences to all learners
- Ability to connect day-to-day work to larger departmental, school, or district-wide goals
- Adept project management skills to break complex tasks into manageable pieces
- Strong communication skills to share, solicit, and act on feedback
- Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness and inclusive perspectives
Responsibilities
- Work side-by-side with Content Creators to develop, launch, and upgrade content on courses
- Own and drive a project that gives end-to-end experience with all aspects of Khan Academy’s content creation cycle
- Share project through a culminating presentation at the close of the internship experience
- Be part of an Intern Learning Community to learn from colleagues across the organization
- Explore ways to integrate AI-powered tutor, Khanmigo, into content
