Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or related discipline. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Or equivalent experience.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant environmental experience or professional internships.
  • Strong commitment to safety, and ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather conditions and in challenging terrain.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking and trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
  • Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports and building tables and spreadsheets (including tabulation and manipulation of data).
  • Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant: team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter who takes initiative, versatile, and service-oriented mentality.
  • Highly organized with keen eye for detail, but with the ability to maintain the big picture.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Driver’s License Required: This position requires a valid driver’s license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pass pre-hire background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance, sustainability, site investigation and remediation, and due diligence transaction projects.
  • Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and wastewater programs.
  • Perform environmental compliance assessments and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support the development of EHS compliance and management system programs.
  • Provide general environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed.
  • Conduct environmental field work, including groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water sampling.
  • Perform multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client value on projects.
