Requirements

  • 4+ years experience
  • Operational experience in c-store, fueling, or quick service restaurant
  • Understanding of accessibility laws and how they apply
  • Expertise in installing and maintaining retail (UST) fueling systems
  • Additional certifications or education applicable to this role

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of construction projects, from project inception to final completion.
  • Provide timely, concise, and transparent communications to operations and all stakeholders.
  • Direct general contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors to complete construction projects while satisfying contract requirements.
  • Cooperate with 7-Eleven’s Environmental consultant to ensure all federal, state, and local laws are being followed.
  • Assess project performance through Key Performance Indicators for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Ability to create project plans, including but not limited to a project charter, schedule, responsibility matrix, risk management plan, communication management plan, and stakeholder register.
  • Facilitate site survey, due diligence of conditions, and prepare scope of work.
  • Financial accountability inclusive of estimates, budget development, change orders, invoice review, and project closeout.
  • Spearhead the design review ensuring accuracy against defined scope and specifications for approvals.
  • Lead permitting and assist in negotiations with appropriate regulatory bodies and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) as required.
  • Direct the bid management process and make recommendations regarding contractor selection.
  • Provides field oversight and direction during the execution phase from preconstruction through issue of final required inspections and occupancy.
  • Develop site-specific, accurate equipment take-offs and orders for each project.
  • Accountable for regular reporting including percent of completion, estimated date of turnover to operations, actual costs, and cost forecasts.
  • Ensure that vendors deliver work to meet duration and quality targets, addressing and ensuring the correction of under-performance issues.
  • Accountable to minimize, record and oversee completion of all project deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Cultivate a culture of safety in accordance with department guidelines.
  • Hand over projects to stakeholders after successful completion of commissioning protocols.
