Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of two years progressively responsible experience in compliance, natural gas distribution or a related field
  • A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and four years progressively responsible experience in compliance, natural gas distribution or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform analysis involving ratios, percentages, and simple statistical methods
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and supports compliance with Division Operator Qualification (OQ) and other certification programs
  • Communicates compliance needs and status reports with supervisors
  • Assists local management and supervision and/or schedules employee OQ training and evaluations for field personnel
  • Assists local management and supervision and/or schedules steel welder and all other joiner certifications instruction, observation, and testing of welds/joints for field personnel (may include contractors)
  • Monitors contractor OQ records
  • Communicates, coordinates and supports various compliance activities and programs
  • Monitors compliance activities and orders to ensure compliance schedules
  • Performs Pipeline Integrity Management (PIM) and Distribution Integrity Management (DIM) analysis
  • Conducts field inspections, which involves observing employees and contractors performing operating and maintenance functions (covered tasks) on pipeline facilities
  • Monitors and communicates compliance-related developments and changes in regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures, and/or manufacturers’ practices, to managers, supervisors, and field personnel
  • Incumbent must be self directed, have excellent organizational skills, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of pipeline compliance regulations and RP 1162 preferred
  • Public speaking and technical writing experience preferred
