Requirements

  • 5+ years of compliance experience in fintech, banking, lending, or payments, with a strong understanding of consumer protection regulations.
  • Solid knowledge of key regulations including TILA/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, UDAAP, FCRA/Reg V, and marketing and servicing guidelines.
  • Product-oriented mindset with experience advising on product and feature design in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Strong communicator able to explain complex issues to diverse stakeholders including executives, engineers, risk leaders, and regulators.
  • Hands-on experience with credit cards or unsecured lending products, ideally in a co-branded or digital-first context.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, high-growth environment and can manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Product & Operational Teams: Act as the primary compliance advisor to cross-functional teams, providing guidance on new product features, servicing processes, and customer communications.
  • Conduct Monitoring & Testing Efforts: Build and execute monitoring and testing plans across operational and customer-facing areas; identify and drive resolution of compliance gaps.
  • Support Regulatory & Bank Partner Engagements: Collaborate with our bank partner to ensure alignment on expectations and support audits, exams, and due diligence efforts.
  • Oversee Issue Management: Track, investigate, and remediate compliance issues and incidents, ensuring timely resolution, documentation, and root cause analysis.
  • Oversee Complaints & Investigations: Manage intake and resolution of complaints and compliance issues, working with internal stakeholders to ensure timely remediation.
  • Track Regulatory Change: Monitor emerging regulatory developments and lead implementation efforts for applicable changes that impact our lending platform.
  • Manage Third-Party Risk: Maintain and enhance the third-party risk management program, including due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and compliance oversight of key vendors and service providers.
  • Report to Compliance Committee: Prepare and present regular reports on compliance performance, issues, and risks to the internal Compliance Committee and key stakeholders.
