Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in environmental compliance, ideally within a high-tech electronics or mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of global environmental regulations related to consumer electronics, packaging, and batteries.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex regulatory information.
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Approved Manufacturer Lists (AMLs).
  • Strong data analysis capabilities—able to manage large datasets, create insightful reports, and drive actionable outcomes.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a sharp analytical mindset and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative team player with experience working across functions and engaging global suppliers on compliance efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Trimble’s Full Material Disclosure (FMD) program and promote the use of environmentally preferred materials.
  • Ensure compliance with global environmental regulations such as RoHS, REACH, Proposition 65, and WEEE.
  • Manage material compliance data from a global supplier base, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product design, legal, and manufacturing.
  • Drive initiatives in regulatory reporting, risk assessment, and compliance automation.
  • Mentor and support regional compliance teams across Trimble’s global operations.
  • Deliver environmental compliance training and foster awareness across departments.
  • Support Trimble’s sustainability goals by contributing to continuous improvement in product compliance processes.
