Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in environmental compliance, ideally within a high-tech electronics or mechanical manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of global environmental regulations related to consumer electronics, packaging, and batteries.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex regulatory information.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Approved Manufacturer Lists (AMLs).
- Strong data analysis capabilities—able to manage large datasets, create insightful reports, and drive actionable outcomes.
- Highly detail-oriented with a sharp analytical mindset and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative team player with experience working across functions and engaging global suppliers on compliance efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead Trimble’s Full Material Disclosure (FMD) program and promote the use of environmentally preferred materials.
- Ensure compliance with global environmental regulations such as RoHS, REACH, Proposition 65, and WEEE.
- Manage material compliance data from a global supplier base, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product design, legal, and manufacturing.
- Drive initiatives in regulatory reporting, risk assessment, and compliance automation.
- Mentor and support regional compliance teams across Trimble’s global operations.
- Deliver environmental compliance training and foster awareness across departments.
- Support Trimble’s sustainability goals by contributing to continuous improvement in product compliance processes.
