Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of two years of medical billing coding experience or high school diploma (GED) and four years of medical billing coding experience
- Credentialed as a coder by a nationally recognized accrediting body (e.g., CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H)
- Certification must be maintained
Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance issues for the System
- Assist the Coordinator and Director in the development and implementation of a compliance monitoring plan
- Perform System audits including charging, billing, regulatory requirements, medical device warranty coding and billing, OIG work plan audits, clinical trial coding and billing, and ‘for cause’ coding and billing investigations
- Share/communicate findings with each market’s compliance committees
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- RHIA or RHIT preferred
