Requirements

  • Current employee with the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills
  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification
  • Experience working in the community
  • Experience with evaluating resources and services
  • Experience communicating effectively
  • Experience prioritizing and attending to detail

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and liaison services between multiple partners and department staff within the local branch and/or district
  • Represent the agency and its various and diverse programs in a variety of community settings serving diverse populations
  • Develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with program service providers, social service providers, community and faith-based organizations and agency staff
  • Advocate for ODHS clients, problem solving as necessary, to facilitate and/or enhance access to services by ODHS clients as they seek economic stability
  • Recommend program or service delivery changes based on research and outcome measurement
  • Provide program and operational support to the District Manager as needed
  • Research and develop contracted services, resources, and potential providers
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking of contracted services
