Requirements

Responsibilities
- Be community-oriented, preferably with experience in youth programs or school activities
- Demonstrate ability to work well with the community at large, including parents, students and staff
- Organize and participate in monthly parent meetings
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and work ethic
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for using proper grammar and vocabulary
- Use excellent written and oral skills when communicating with students, parents, and colleagues
- Assist the business manager
- Assist in developing and maintaining efficient daily, weekly and monthly office procedures
- Record and file daily the student and staff attendance data
- Provide for appropriate building mail distribution
- Complete all delegated or routine typing/keyboarding of letters, documents and other Academy items as designated by the school leader
- Assist in the new student enrollment procedures
- Assist in maintaining a system for handling student permanent records
- Complete all delegated or routine school-wide copies of letters, documents and other Academy items
- Use computer to access information and communication networks relevant in accomplishing the Academy’s goals and daily operations
- Regularly communicate professionally and courteously with students, faculty, parents, Board and the general community when representing the Academy
- Distribute paper to appropriate staff on a monthly basis
- Type/post/announce daily bulletins/announcements
- Process clerical and personnel records to insure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
- Complete all office task in a timely manner
- Complete all data entry, word processing, database management and spreadsheet manipulation as needed and in a timely manner
- Maintain the academy’s student information system
- Prepare and maintain office organization, management, and phone techniques
- Maintain a successful experience with students, parents, staff, visitors relations
- Work as a team member to accomplish multiple tasks
- Function independently in the coordination of the responsibilities of a school office setting
- Assist in translation needs of the academy
- Protect the confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines
- Display ethical and professional behavior in working with students, parents, school personnel, and outside agencies associated with the school
- Maintain the academy’s student information system and MCIR system.
