Community Health Organizer I

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with community members or patients required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred due to the population served.

Responsibilities

• Implement community-centered outreach, education, leadership development, and capacity-building activities within the communities in AltaMed’s service areas.
• Support engagement of partners and other stakeholders.
• Engage community members and patients in co-planning strategies for program implementation and health equity campaigns.
• Co-design culturally concordant informational materials with community members.
• Co-lead advocacy around community health priorities.
• Contribute to community-engaged research around best practices for community engagement in health equity policy, systems, and environmental change and advocacy.
