Requirements

  • A master’s degree in student personnel administration or related field is required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Select, train, and supervise student staff to provide an environment conducive to living and learning.
  • Ensure that policies are uniformly and fairly enforced.
  • Provide services as a hearing officer in violations of the Student Code of Conduct regarding the housing policies.
  • Provide on-call emergency coverage after hours for the resident population.
  • Interpret and apply a programming framework utilizing Housing & Dining Programs programming model.
  • Oversee day to day operations for the residential community desk during the academic year.
  • Serve as an advisor to the Hall Council in the assigned area.
  • Oversee the facilities operations for their assigned residential area.
  • Assist in conducting adjudication and provide follow-up care to summer residential students.
  • Serve on various committees within the department or the university as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of professional residence hall supervision/management experience, residential curriculum development, living-learning communities, and/or advising student groups is preferred.
  • Supervision of student employees and/or graduate assistants preferred.
  • Previous experience managing student crises and conflicts is preferred.
