Requirements
- A master’s degree in student personnel administration or related field is required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Select, train, and supervise student staff to provide an environment conducive to living and learning.
- Ensure that policies are uniformly and fairly enforced.
- Provide services as a hearing officer in violations of the Student Code of Conduct regarding the housing policies.
- Provide on-call emergency coverage after hours for the resident population.
- Interpret and apply a programming framework utilizing Housing & Dining Programs programming model.
- Oversee day to day operations for the residential community desk during the academic year.
- Serve as an advisor to the Hall Council in the assigned area.
- Oversee the facilities operations for their assigned residential area.
- Assist in conducting adjudication and provide follow-up care to summer residential students.
- Serve on various committees within the department or the university as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of professional residence hall supervision/management experience, residential curriculum development, living-learning communities, and/or advising student groups is preferred.
- Supervision of student employees and/or graduate assistants preferred.
- Previous experience managing student crises and conflicts is preferred.
