Requirements
- Demonstrated success in a customer service environment

- Previous success managing multiple projects, assessing work priorities, and as well as regular ability in meeting deadlines.

- Proficiency with software, especially Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Power Point, Mail Chimp, Cvent and comfort learning new technologies
- Bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant experience including online marketing and communications, writing experience for digital channels, content management for websites, and content creation strategy.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Develop, curate, and manage content across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn) to enhance engagement, promote events, and grow the Center’s audience.
- Lead the redesign and launch of a new Center website. Serve as the ongoing webmaster, managing content updates, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing user experience.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updates of the Center’s annual Symposium registration site on Cvent. Coordinate event communications and promotional campaigns.
- Design and produce all communications collateral, including brochures, slide decks, flyers, signage, social media graphics, email campaigns, and other materials as needed.
- Develop, design, and distribute a monthly electronic newsletter highlighting news, events, research, and achievements from the Center and its affiliates.
- Organize, maintain, and segment all email distribution lists, ensuring compliance with university policies and best practices for outreach.
- Oversee branding consistency across all materials. Coordinate the design, ordering, and inventory of branded promotional items and event swag.
- Provide strategic and tactical support for a wide range of communications needs, including internal communications, outreach materials, faculty collaborations, and more.
- Regularly collaborate with the communications teams of the center’s partner Colleges and Schools, the President’s Office, and University Development on a coordinated and cohesive communications strategies to support student programs, events, high-profile initiatives, and outreach efforts.
- Provide support for events via marketing as well as day of execution. Expected attendance with the rest of the Center team at conferences, council meetings, career fairs, industry speakers, roundtables, galas, symposiums, and panels.
- Execute additional projects and priorities as assigned by the Center’s Executive Director and/or Managing Director.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Business.
- More than the required relevant experience.
- Experience with building professional relationships with students, alumni, sponsors and/or other external stakeholders through outreach and other forms of engagement.
- Experience managing social media in a business environment.
- Experience with University of Texas policies, procedures, and administrative systems.
