Requirements

  • 2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics or product development
  • High level of analytical ability where problems can be somewhat complex.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments.
  • Computer skills and knowledge with understanding of (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
  • Spanish Speaking

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.
  • Lead recovery process for assigned Command Center cases with appropriate GM functional staffs and Assembly/Metal Centers.
  • Work with other coordinators managing critical supply issues that come into the NASO Command Center.
  • Must have some flexibility and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
  • Flexibility to include rotation of short-term working off shift hours from home.
  • Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.
  • Develop and lead complex flow plans for supplier performance tracking and plant allocation of critical parts.
  • Will be using MGO, Web-focus and various other tools to analyze supply chain status and develop countermeasures when necessary.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as the need arises including Holiday supplier work plans, premium reduction initiatives and late/increased production changes.
  • Must be able to manage very complex & stressful supply issues to resolution with goal to eliminate/minimize plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related advanced degree a plus
  • Production Control & Logistics Experience
  • Proficient in MGO
  • Material system knowledge (MGO-A and MGO-C)
  • Purchasing system knowledge (GPS)
  • Skilled in managing projects.
  • Planning and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and self-directed.
  • Plant Experience
