Requirements

Responsibilities
- Performs problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex issues.
- Responds to issues in a timely manner by receiving and investigating incidents or service tickets.
- Analyzes and observes trends with technical issues and develops recommendations for long-term improvements.
- Documents all relevant end-user interactions and steps taken to resolve incidents.
- Has occasional contact with end-users.
- Communicates status of issue resolution to internal customers.
- May engage and manage outside vendors.
- Applies in-depth knowledge of application support and an understanding of best practices.
- Typically leads moderately complex projects and participates in larger, more complex initiatives.
- Solves complex technical and operational problems.
- Acts as a resource for teammates with less experience.
- May have people management responsibilities for a small team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in usage of Broadcom Scheduling tool (CA ESP / CA WA Workstation) to monitor enterprise batch processing on the mainframe and across different distributed technologies.
- Strong Mainframe knowledge: zOS, CICS, TSO, ISPF, JES2, JCL/PROC to assist in troubleshooting, execution of commands, and recovery of failures. Monitor and resolve console messages.
- Strong knowledge of Data Transmission protocols and tools; with a preference for experience using Sterling File Gateway (SFG), Connect:Direct, Aspera.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues across multi-tier environments: mainframe, distributed systems (Linux, Windows, AIX, Web, middleware, various databases), and Data Integration Platforms (Informatica, Hadoop, Snowflake, cDB2, Talend…), Cloud, and external partners.
- Proven expertise in Incident Management, including execution, escalation, and driving timely resolution of issues.
- ITIL certification strongly preferred; experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
- Strong facilitation skills, with demonstrated experience leading and coordinating high-priority incident calls.
- As Lead engineer, act as the immediate escalation point for critical and/or complex issues.
- Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry.
