Requirements
- Proficient in operating pinch or automatic wiggle straightening machines
- Ability to operate multiple tempering tanks
- Experience using micrometers, microscopes, and Rockwell hardness testers
- Skilled in operating electric welders and electric lift trucks
- Knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and practices
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain pinch or automatic wiggle straightening machines
- Operate multiple tempering tanks and perform necessary adjustments
- Load and unload coils, ensuring quality and checking for defects
- Perform daily calculations and enter data into a computer terminal
- Conduct monthly inventory of work in process and report faulty equipment
