Cloud Software Engineer – Advisor

A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required. NOTE: A Master’s or higher will equal 2 additional years towards the years requirement below.
Eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
At least six (6) years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++.
At least five (5) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems.
One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Developer—Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Elastic Certified Engineer.

Support all aspects of agile software design and development for products integrated into systems on large scale compute clusters and AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
Perform requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution at a high level of proficiency and independence.
Communicate directions and provide guidance to more junior programmer/analysts.
Develop solutions which integrate or extend COTS or GOTS products.
Evaluate project needs, determine tasks and durations, and generate and review designs for technical accuracy and completeness.
