Requirements

• The contractor SME assigned to this position shall possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance level from the Defense Security Service.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other equivalent STEM field from an accredited college or university (years of experience may be used as a suitable replacement for education)
• Viewed as a SME in related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• 10-12+ years of relevant experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in defining reference architectures, standards, and interfaces for re-use across the customer portfolio.
• Identifying capability gaps and shortfalls, determining new technology and system requirements, identifying possible solutions, assessing technology maturation and advancements to address suitability of developed solutions, and assessing testing and integration requirements, costs, and activities and their results.
• Providing expertise in cloud computing technologies and security protocols.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring robust security measures are in place to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Conducting risk assessments, implementing security controls, and providing ongoing monitoring and support for cloud environments.
• Assistance in the migration of multiple programs to the cloud through developing migration strategies, advising on cloud architectures, and facilitating cloud deployment methodologies.
• Assisting in planning, designing, and evaluating Contractor proposed migration/onboarding plans for portfolio of programs and data to the cloud.
• Assisting in designing and evaluating Contractor proposed end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment.
• Assisting in designing and managing the programs cloud computing strategies, including cloud adoption plans, cloud management and monitoring.
• Assisting in defining security guidance, governance, risk management, scalability, and cost optimization of the cloud environment.
• Organizing, understanding, and analyzing PEO STRI’s data use and needs to find patterns and develop logical groupings and solutions that meets UnITE’s goals.
• Applying decision analysis techniques to ensure that the engineering approach is cost effective and satisfies the training objectives as it applies to Cloud Migration and optimization for the program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud Migration experience, min 5 yrs.
• Expertise/knowledge/experience with Agile, DevSecOps (SCRUM/JIRA/Confluence).
• Microsoft Azure certification
• Experience engaging with the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA)
