Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT systems, computer science, information technology/science, technology engineering, system analysis, MIS or a related study.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cloud architecture and/or 5 years cloud engineering, preferably with Azure (AWS or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong knowledge and experience (2 years) with Kubernetes deployment and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services, concepts, and architectures, such as compute, storage, networking, security, serverless, microservices, containers, etc.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, Node.js, etc.
  • Experience in using infrastructure as code, continuous integration and delivery, and DevOps tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience in designing and implementing cloud security, reliability, performance, and scalability best practices and standards.
  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting cloud issues and incidents, using tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, etc.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, and ability to work with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Understands technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies and collaborates globally with suppliers, service owners, and other architecture resources to develop infrastructure technology architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities, operating models, and business/IT agility.
  • Design and develop cloud architectures and platforms that meet the functional and non-functional requirements of our clients.
  • Implement and deploy cloud solutions using infrastructure as code, continuous integration and delivery, and DevOps tools.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, performance, and scalability of cloud solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud issues and incidents and provide root cause analysis and recommendations.
  • Research and evaluate new cloud technologies and trends and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Communicate and document cloud architectures and platforms and provide guidance and support to clients and internal teams.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Help define global high-level roadmaps and migration plans to address the gaps between the future and current state and works to define benefits, costs, and business approval.
  • Assists with designing the global governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance of projects and products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platform is a plus.
  • Ability and desire to continuously learn, grow technology and business skills, and be collaborative and agile in how they work.
