Requirements

  • A.D.N degree from accredited school of nursing required; B.S.N. preferred
  • Current RN license in state of Georgia
  • Live in Georgia and able to travel in the region as needed
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in clinical nursing REQUIRED
  • Experience in healthcare performance coaching – REQUIRED
  • Current driver’s license with positive driving record required; ability to meet requirements of insurance coverage
  • Solid computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Team player with high level communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Owns and drives clinical quality through direct RN observation and coaching in the following categories: care delivery, patient interactions, preparation and prioritization, plan of care development and follow through, workflow tool utilization, documentation, and escalation forums
  • Responsible for ongoing assessment and coaching of clinical acumen in pursuit of decreasing patient admissions and readmissions
  • Collaborates with the education team, Subject Matter Experts, and Regional Operations Managers (ROMs) on educational tools and policies related to new processes.
  • Conducts standardized audits of IKC RNs’ work and patient results.
  • Provides regular coaching and mentoring of team members to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
  • Provides and/or monitors monthly scorecards and other related reports and creates action plans as needed for each VHN.
  • Conducts site visits with assigned team members as required by outside agencies and IKC Internal audit processes as directed.
  • Travel required: up to 75% may include overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Variety of types of renal nursing experience – HHD, PD, etc. – HIGHLY PREFERED
  • Previous Case Management Experience – HIGHLY PREFERED
  • Current CPR certification: Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Case Manager (CCM) preferred
