Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences, health sciences, social sciences or medical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of experience that included at least 6 months patient interfacing experience in a clinical support capacity.
- At least 6 months experience in a clinical research capacity required.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- Successful completion of a background check.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the surgical oncology database.
- Recruit patients to the biorepository and coordinate the acquisition of time-sensitive samples.
- Assist with implementation and coordination of projects.
- Screen and recruit patients for specimen collection.
- Coordinate processing of specimens and collection of clinical data.
- Administer the database, including IRB and continuing progress reports.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to implement the biobanking repository for surgical oncology patients.
- Use software to track new and follow-up patients through the care continuum.
- Run experiments and generate data from tissue samples collected.
- Collect longitudinal data on patient treatment and outcomes during their cancer journey.
- Ensure appropriate appointments are scheduled.
- Develop, align, and operationalize clinical, academic, and research activities to support overall Cancer Program goals.
