Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences, health sciences, social sciences or medical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year of experience that included at least 6 months patient interfacing experience in a clinical support capacity.
  • At least 6 months experience in a clinical research capacity required.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the surgical oncology database.
  • Recruit patients to the biorepository and coordinate the acquisition of time-sensitive samples.
  • Assist with implementation and coordination of projects.
  • Screen and recruit patients for specimen collection.
  • Coordinate processing of specimens and collection of clinical data.
  • Administer the database, including IRB and continuing progress reports.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to implement the biobanking repository for surgical oncology patients.
  • Use software to track new and follow-up patients through the care continuum.
  • Run experiments and generate data from tissue samples collected.
  • Collect longitudinal data on patient treatment and outcomes during their cancer journey.
  • Ensure appropriate appointments are scheduled.
  • Develop, align, and operationalize clinical, academic, and research activities to support overall Cancer Program goals.
