Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Three (3) years progressive clinical leadership and ability to demonstrate competency in management skills
- Three (3) years clinical experience in specialty area
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately
- Current California RN license required
- Basic Life Support certification
Responsibilities
- Management of nursing and technologist practice and operations in the assigned units
- Management of supply chain and budget
- Clinical nursing practice oversight
- Staff recruitment and retention
- Labor relations management
- Education and employee performance evaluation
- Quality improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory and survey requirements
- Collaboration with clinical Directors, physicians, and staff to support patient care
- Creating and empowering teams to implement change that improves clinical, operational, and financial performance
- Developing and attaining the unit’s goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or in a health-related field is preferred (may be in progress)
- Specialty certification preferred
