Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of three years of applied clinical experience as an RN
- Current South Carolina licensure as a registered nurse or compact state
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
- Extensive knowledge of the unit’s patient population, health care trends, community and regional resources and service availability to these populations
- An ability to establish comparative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff, and other health care disciplines
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation and utilization of information systems required for patient care initiatives
- Evaluates applications or vendors to best meet the needs of the organization
- Provides technical training and support to end users
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred
- A Masters Degree in Nursing may be substituted for 1 year of required experience
