Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least six hours of standardized introductory training in addiction and ethics for addiction professionals
- At least six months of experience in human services
- Active participation in a college degree program in a Human Services related field with at least 3 months’ experience (may include internship experience)
- Must be a current CASAC Trainee or a QHP to provide clinical services
- Ability to ensure confidentiality
- Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Conducts safety checks on the facility
- Responds to crises and emergencies
- Assists with referrals and coordination of services with fellow providers
- Conducts breathalyzer and toxicology screenings
- Responds to immediate social or housekeeping issues
- Assists with and observes resident medication compliance
- Makes referrals, coordinates services and maintains regular ongoing consultations with other providers, managed care providers, legal agencies, etc. to assist counseling staff.
- Maintains all clinical documentation, reporting, record keeping, treatment planning, screening, assessment, and discharge planning (as supported by certification or license scope of practice).
- Provides group and individual treatment interventions (as supported by certification or license scope of practice).
