Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has a minimum of one to two years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training for Client Relationship Consultant 1
  • Typically has a minimum three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training for Client Relationship Consultant 2
  • Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training for Client Relationship Consultant 3
  • Typically has five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training for Client Relationship Consultant 4
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers by meeting face to face and engaging them when and where they need to provide the best possible counsel
  • Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
  • Obtain and process customer and account information
  • Educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services
  • Recommend financial solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs
  • Originate and close consumer loans
  • Open accounts
  • Open and/or close the branch

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Basic knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems for Client Relationship Consultant 1
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems for Client Relationship Consultant 2 and 3
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services for Client Relationship Consultant 3 and 4
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
  • Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively for Client Relationship Consultant 1 and 2
  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively for Client Relationship Consultant 3 and 4
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions for Client Relationship Consultant 3 and 4
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred for Client Relationship Consultant 4
