Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering design for transportation, water resources, or other relevant projects
- Utility coordination and permitting experience is helpful
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Responsibilities
- Supporting project managers in the planning and execution of engineering projects
- Conducting engineering analysis and design for assigned projects
- Executing utility coordination and design for infrastructure projects
- Participating in the permitting process and assisting with permit applications
- Coordinating with utility providers and agencies to ensure the integration of utility design into project plans
- Preparing and reviewing utility design plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Designing complete projects, or components of projects
- Preparing and reviewing project documents, reports, and specifications
- Applying engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- May perform other duties associated with this role.
