Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Risk Management, or related field (CPCU, ARM, or advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum of ten years of progressive P&C insurance underwriting experience, including leadership of multiple programs within a business
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and engage teams effectively, with strong leadership skills in managing distributed teams and complex portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive underwriting philosophy, standards, and strategies that align with business goals, regulatory compliance, and risk tolerance.
- Lead oversight of the P&C insurance portfolio, ensuring sound risk selection, balanced exposure, and profitable growth.
- Drive the growth of existing programs and spearhead the development of new programs that align with client needs and market opportunities.
- Build, mentor, and manage high-performing underwriting teams across multiple geographies and segments, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Collaborate with product and actuarial teams to design, refine, and launch innovative insurance products that respond to market needs and emerging risks.
- Strengthen relationships with distribution partners, reinsurers, MGAs, and brokers to support underwriting goals and facilitate market expansion.
