TL;DR
Dryft is building the Post-ERP world—an AI-native decision intelligence platform that automates procurement and inventory workflows for industrial companies. We replace outdated enterprise software & Excel with AI agents that make real-world, context-savvy decisions on how material flows through manufacturing companies.
As Founders Associate/Chief of Staff with Product Focus, you’ll work across product, operations, sales, and hiring — taking ownership of product & customer validation while also being involved in partnerships, sales and process automation. This is not a passive support role—it’s a high-impact position for someone who wants to shape a startup in a fast-paced environment from the ground up.
What You’ll Own
🔥 Product & Customer Validation (focus) 🔥
Prototype & validate new use cases → Rapidly test and iterate on new workflows based on market demand and customer feedback. Own your own products/features end-to-end from idea, to prototype and validation.
Own customer projects & shape the product → Work with our customers on a daily basis to implement Dryft, refine workflows, and translate insights into product improvements & road map
2️⃣ Build Dryft’s Foundations for Scale (more work here later as we grow/in spikes)
Sales & Outreach Optimization → Refine outbound strategies, and reduce manual effort in customer acquisition; own a substantial part of the process day-to-day by doing outreach, going to trade fairs, preparing & leading customer calls
Recruiting & Hiring → Create a repeatable hiring engine—from sourcing to structured onboarding; own a substantial part of the process day-to-day
Operations → Setup & run core infrastructure like payroll, office, domains and cross-border setups
3️⃣ Special Projects & Expansion (occasionally)
Industry Exploration → Research new verticals & geographies for Dryft to enter
Partnerships & Business Development → Build relationships with system integrators, trade groups, and key industry players through trade fairs, organizing events, etc**.**
Fundraising support (over time) → Prepare materials, select top investors
Who You Are
Being highly entrepreneurial, hard working, organized & comfortable to work in fast-paced environments are the basics. You’ll succeed even more if you:
Hungry to Win – You hate losing, no matter what the challenge is. Because of this you have high standards.
Get shit done – You move fast, figure things out, and don’t wait for permission.
“Can Do Mindset” – You are creative in making the impossible, possible. We run on the principle: “Geht nicht gibts nicht”.
A Systems Thinker – You hate wasting time & inefficiencies in private & professional life so you design better systems that eliminate repetitive work. You always think 1 step ahead.
Natural Connector – You thrive on building relationships and engaging in conversations that move things forward. Whether recruiting, networking, or pitching on the fly, you confidently navigate unexpected questions and new opportunities.
Down to earth, low ego – You admit mistakes, get your hands dirty and bond with our non-technical, rural customer group
What You Bring (Experience & Skills)
✔ Strong product intuition → You can translate customer problems (or internal process challenges) into product requirements & know how to use tools that help you do this. Ideally, you have a technical background or strong intuition for tech.
✔ Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments → You’ve worked in early-stage startups, VC, or other high-growth settings with real ownership (non consultative)
✔ Fluent communication (English is a must, German is a big plus) → You can write clear, structured emails & documents.
✔ Design eye → You have a good feel for design e.g. for Slides, One-Pagers, Products.
✔ Prior experience interacting with high stakes individuals in C-level positions is a big plus
Why Join Dryft?
🔥 Own & Build From Day One – You won’t just execute; you’ll shape how Dryft works. If you want to start your own company one day, this is the best place to learn.
💰 High Upside – We are allocating above average equity packages for early employees, are backed by some of the world’s leading investors & have more customer demand than we can handle.
💪Truly get challenged to become who you want to be — We are obsessed with feedback and practice it almost daily (yes, that’s true). We are a team where every member pushes, challenges, and grows alongside one another to achieve the extraordinary – personally & professionally.
🛠 Work with top entrepreneurs & engineers – Our network includes AI researchers, the world’s best investors, and top industrial tech advisors/board members. We surround ourselves with the people we want to become & learn from.
💙 Work with founders that truly know & care about an old industry – Manufacturing isn’t for everyone. It’s old, ‘slow’, complicated and you tend to travel to the most ‘boring’ places in the world. AJ & Leonie have both worked and almost ‘lived’ in these companies and we love it;).
🌍 Global Impact – We are building for an industry that will significantly change over the next years, more than most other industries. Governments put significant funding into manufacturing and customers are actively looking to implement solutions. It’s a massive, greenfield (!) opportunity with still little competition.
✈ Flexibility & Travel – SF-based, with trips to Germany & worldwide industry events (US, China, EU)
📜 Visa and relocation support — We are open to sponsor visa and help you relocate to SF/Bay Area.
