Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an IT/IS-related field or business administration
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management and/or information security
Responsibilities
- Provides security advising
- Manages risk
- Establishes data and information security policy
- Guides the university to maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines for information security
- Establishes and maintains a culture of shared responsibility for information security
- Serves as a member of the President’s Staff
- Serves on the Technology Advisory Committee
- Serves on the Information Technology and Computing Policies Committee
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in an IT/IS-related field or business administration
- 7 years of experience in risk management and/or information security
- Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, and NIST
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of personal integrity
