Requirements
- Candidates must be working toward an undergraduate or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Candidates must show demonstrated ability to learn on the job
- Candidates must be an effective problem solver with strong analytical skills
- Candidates must be results oriented and a self-starter
- Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Candidates must be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Candidates must have the ability to work in a team environment
- Candidates should have a minimum GPA of 3.2
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Axalta Scientists on a well-defined project to develop new products, improve manufacturing processes, or solve customer issues
- Be expected to perform your own work which may be focused on polymer synthesis, paint formulations, or advanced analytical chemistry instrumentation
- Have frequent opportunities for direct interaction with our global internal manufacturing and marketing groups, as well as our external automotive customers
- Prepare and present a report summarizing your project work at the end of your co-op experience
