Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a clinical, research, or lab setting
- Experience working with general lab equipment, inventory management, and media preparation
- Knowledge of MS Office suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively work with management and employees at all levels, including customers
- Clear communication with colleagues and customers, understanding their goals and work priorities
- Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and organize time
- Team player committed to customer service and working in a quality environment
- Adequate skills to perform required job functions with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Fulfill buffer/media/solvent orders
- Request waste removal
- Maintain and reorder supply inventory
- Communicate with supervisor regarding stock, material needs, and scheduling
- Comply with regulations and maintain good documentation
- Assist in streamlining and optimizing workflows
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of activities and results
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and company goals
- Work in laboratory areas using established safety and technical procedures
- Maintain strict attention to safety and quality
- Assist in other Lab Services operations as directed or needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life science, biology, or chemistry
- Prior experience with a CMMS
- Experience with work order and inventory tracking systems (Maximo, SAP, etc.)
