Requirements
- Certified / Licensed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply!
- Experience in ICU (treatments, fluids, and knowledge of medication dosages)
- Skilled at IV catheter placements
- Strong anesthesia monitoring
- Working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive team player willing to continue to learn
Responsibilities
- Running sick/urgent care appointments
- Performing in-house cytology
- Assisting in surgery
- Monitoring anesthesia
- Drawing blood and running in-clinic bloodwork
- Taking x-rays and proper positioning
- Dispensing and administering medications prescribed by the veterinarian
