Requirements
- Valid driver’s license for business travel purposes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Pharmacy Technician Licenses in states requiring licensure.
- Approved and active National Certified Technician certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver superior customer service by smiling and greeting customers, answering non-medical questions, suggestive selling, handling special requests, and resolving minor customer issues.
- Assist customers at the register by processing sales of prescriptions, OTC products, groceries, and other various items for sale.
- Identify customer needs, help locate products, and promote products and services.
- Operate and maintain a working knowledge of equipment to provide service to customers, including registers, phones, computers, and prescription processing systems.
- Retrieve prescriptions and prescription refills from customers and prepare prescriptions for the pharmacist.
- Work with patients and insurance companies to resolve insurance-related issues.
- Assist customers in completing first-time patient information documents and entering data into the prescription processing system.
- Provide customer assistance during prescription pick-up and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist pharmacists in controlling inventories and keeping products well stocked.
- Report any suspected prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
- Understand and follow applicable Federal and State Laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Promote eligible services to patients, including autofill and immunizations.
- Support pharmacists in preparing Medication Therapy Management cases.
- Perform additional job-related responsibilities as necessary.
