Requirements
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Required Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
- CRT-Nursing Assistant – Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems UPON HIRE except WITHIN 90 DAYS RNCs (Fuller, Kalamazoo, Reed City, United/Kelsey) Lakeland 120 days Upon Hire required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or ARC is required within 90 days
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit
- Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding
- Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines
- Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel
- Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours
- Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
