Requirements

  • 10+ years of comprehensive experience in high-end concrete, stone, paving, or related custom outdoor surface installation, with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with all aspects of custom concrete, stone, and paving work, including material selection, manufacturing processes, installation techniques, project management, and quality assurance for luxury finishes.
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management, securing new high-value projects, bidding, contract negotiation, and a strong ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities within the custom outdoor living market.
  • Proven experience in leading and motivating skilled trades teams, fostering a productive work environment, and ensuring project success and exceptional craftsmanship.
  • Significant experience in small business management, including budgeting, financial analysis, P&L responsibility, and strategic planning to maximize profitability within a custom construction context.
  • In-depth knowledge of various concrete mixes, stone types, paving materials, installation methods, design principles for outdoor surfaces, and industry best practices.
  • A solid understanding of local building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), and permitting processes relevant to concrete and paving work in California.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a California C-8 Concrete Construction license.
