Requirements
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
- Detail oriented; willing to chase discrepancies to the root
- Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years equivalent experience in customer service and sales
- Experience in the petroleum industry considered an asset
- Experience in Salesforce application considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of an assigned territory that includes opportunities for growth, product penetration, competitors and alternative fuels and develop territory objectives to drive achievement of portfolio management goals and targets
- Work collaboratively with sales leadership to execute marketing programs that drive achievement of sales targets and drive portfolio performance by developing strategies to improve gross margins, increase volumes, minimize customer attrition, and increase product penetration
- Implement tactics to improve gross margin and volume and work collaboratively with sales management to prioritize high-value accounts and develop tactics to foster loyalty and increase customer retention
- Proactively contact high-value customers to understand evolving product needs and build deeper relationships with decision makers and influencers and be able to identify and drive new opportunities to successful closure to increase share of wallet
- Facilitate the expedient resolution of issues and pricing concerns and conduct annual customer relationship reviews with high-value accounts
- Review of current commercial reporting suite and report out (monthly volume variance reporting, inactive forecasting report, fixed pricing reports, zero purchasers, early detection, near miss, GM Reports, portfolio reports, scorecard review by portfolio)
- Prepare and report sales performance to sales leadership and participate in sales management meetings
