Requirements

  • Connecticut OE-2, S-1 or S-2 license (Required)
  • 3 years of experience as a Plant Operator (Preferred)
  • Boiler License (Preferred)
  • EPA Universal Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the Central Utility Plant (CUP) equipment by utilizing all provided Building Monitoring Systems and manual controls.
  • Perform initial inspection/assessment as first responder to occupant reports of defects in regards to buildings and facility services equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on Central Utility Plant affiliated equipment.
  • Read and understand Maintenance Operating Procedures, Emergency Response Procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures and document use as needed.
  • Perform scheduled property walkthroughs (rounds) and inspections on various building systems throughout the Facility/Campus and provide detailed written report of any deficiencies/issues identified to Facility Management for correction.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot alarms identified, control and command the sites various Building Monitoring Systems as needed.
  • Perform water chemistry for boiler water, chilled water and condensate water systems.
  • Provide regular updates to Maintenance Management/Supervision regarding the Operating status of Central Utility Plant (CUP) equipment.
  • Start up, monitor, reset and shut down all Central Utility Plant equipment as needed.
