Requirements
- BS with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Good understanding of communication theory and signal processing algorithms.
- Good understanding of digital design and architecture principles, including ARM architecture and AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB), and NoC architecture.
- Hands on experience with RF transceiver or similar complex SoC development and bring-up
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to develop detailed system architecture and design documentation.
- Good experience with Matlab, Python, and/ C/C++ and efficient analysis and automation scripting.
Responsibilities
- Define micro-architecture for the SoC to meet the requirements of the cellular RF systems and achieve the best KPIs.
- Understand and map system requirements and algorithms to HW/FW architecture to ensure development of state-of-the-art design covering all aspects of the system including functionality, performance, power, latency, area, and debuggability.
- Develop simulation models to accurately capture architecture functionality, and FW interfaces.
- Drive/contribute to efficient methodologies and development flows for all phases of silicon development.
- Collaborate with SoC, MAC, PHY, RF HW, RF FW, and SW teams to ensure architecture meets the end-to-end system requirements.
- Play lead roles in pre- and post-silicon verification, validation and bring up of silicon, and support productization.
Preferred Qualifications
- MSEE or beyond is preferred.
- Good understanding of the KPIs (performance, power, latency, etc) of wireless SoCs and efficient HW architectures to achieve the same.
- Strong technical background in 5G-NR/LTE/UMTS (3G/2G) physical layer and protocols is a plus.
- Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms a plus.
- Hands on experience in bring up of real silicon in lab, ability to efficiently use lab equipment (such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, etc).
