Requirements
- Current CDL (Class A preferred but not necessary)
- One year diesel mechanic experience or be a graduate of a diesel mechanic training program. Experience must be documented on application or resume. (Experience can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at least one year)
Responsibilities
- Must be able to service and maintain diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drive trains, tires and brake systems.
- Maintain adequate records to meet DOT requirements.
- Coordinate with shop supervisor in the preparation of vehicle cost statements, reports and analysis.
- Coordinate with shop supervisor to ensure adequate shop supplies are maintained.
- Assist in the maintenance of shop building, records, and materials in a safe and orderly fashion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Class A CDL preferred but not necessary
