Requirements
- 3+ years of previous Financial experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or equivalent
- Familiarity with GM systems (IMS, SPOBARS, eGPPS, SAP, Hyperion, ARM)
- CPA Preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare Journal Entries to support Month-End Close process
- Reconcile accounts to support Month-End Close process
- Lead the annual budget and monthly forecast process for Oshawa Operations
- Work with the Oshawa Operations teams to develop annual budgets, interim forecasts, mid-term/long-term financial plans
- Report accurate and timely financial performance to Oshawa Operations leadership and speak to variances vs. budget/forecast/prior year
- Assess plant Oshawa Operations KPIs that indicate financial performance health
- Oshawa Operations Capital Projects budget management
- Provide insight on key drivers, outlook, mitigating actions, and risks and opportunities
- Continuously innovate on internal processes such as developing and/or refining working templates/models, reports, white papers, variance guard rails, standard operating procedures
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis/reports
- Drive Oshawa Operations structural cost efficiency
- Prepare monthly analysis of freight costs for CCA and Oshawa Operations; investigate and explain issues causing monthly variances; identify optimization opportunities
- Prepare monthly analysis of raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory accounts for Oshawa Operations; investigate and explain issues causing monthly variances; identify optimization opportunities
