Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related area.
- Minimum of three to five years combined experience in one or more of the following: grocery, wholesale, merchandising, data analytics, project management or related area.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management and change management experience
- Strong organizational, prioritization and attention to detail skills.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, financial acumen, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Nielsen Category Management tools, experience with purchasing systems is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 10% depending on assigned categories.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively to achieve buy-in from cross-functional leaders.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings in support of strategic initiatives.
- Support annual vendor negotiation process including joint business planning, strategic planning with merchandising teams and coordination with vendors to improve sales and profitability.
- Support data and analytics fact base in partnership with merchandising analytics function and drive into core ways of working for merchandising and associated support teams.
- Perform business or statistical analysis to formulate data-driven recommendations that help the company achieve financial goals.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in dynamic retail and wholesale environments to drive positive business outcomes.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Power BI proficiency preferred
- SQL competency recommended: you will interact with the corporate data lake using Snowflake.
