Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Marketing, Healthcare, Business Administration preferred); MBA preferred
- Five (5) or more years of related experience in marketing, operations, or category management
- In depth knowledge of healthcare products, distribution, and supply chains preferred
- Intimate knowledge of the healthcare products landscape preferred
- Detailed knowledge of products and product development
- Ability to engage and develop C-Suite relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluency in multiple languages preferred)
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to work across departments (Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Inventory Management, etc.) to solicit and obtain input, and the required internal engagement to accomplish organizational objectives
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Responsibilities
- Drives overall growth and profitability of their assigned categories. Engages with suppliers to develop the appropriate programs and support required to deliver enhanced supplier funding based on Owens & Minor’s product portfolio strategy.
- Manages assigned product categories, engaging with internal Sales and Operations Teams to identify opportunities to improve profitability and build competitive healthcare provider offerings.
- Analyzes product sales performance data. Recommends modifications to Owens & Minor’s portfolio strategy to drive product program success. Looks to consolidate available product offerings where possible to drive share growth with suppliers.
- Advises the Supplier Management Leadership Team on category specific strategies, market approach and implementation plans to meet annual budget objectives.
- Works in collaboration with the Inventory Performance Management team to manage SKU details and supplier rationalization programs.
- Identifies process improvements to increase system efficiencies.
- Assists and prepares presentations to be delivered to senior management, and field teammates on category initiatives.
- Monitors Category and Program performance. Provides monthly status updates to senior management
