Requirements
- PhD/Masters in Engineering, Meteorology, Seismology, or related discipline preferred
- 2 – 5 years of work experience with catastrophe modeling in the re/insurance industry, government, or academia.
- Experience with catastrophe models
- Programming/coding skills (SQL, Python, R, C#, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Validating vendor catastrophe models
- Creating new catastrophe models
- Assisting in real time event loss estimation
- Learning basic reinsurance pricing
- Presenting research to various departments at Everest
