Requirements
- Associate’s Degree – Nursing degree/diploma upon hire.
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- 2 years – Acute care experience in a Medical Surgical or Inpatient setting.
- IRR or annual competency testing in Utilization Review.
Responsibilities
- Assessment and planning.
- Coordination of care.
- Resource utilization management and/or review.
- Discharge planning.
- Documentation of interventions.
- Regulatory compliance.
- Patient advocacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing or higher within 3 years of hire.
- National Certification in area of specialty upon hire.
- 1 year – experience in care management or utilization review in any setting or successful completion of TIPS program or Case Management Orientation Program.
