Requirements

  • Knowledge of various talent focused benefits, programming, and initiatives to be a helpful resource to coaching clients.
  • J.D. or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience coaching required, preferably in the legal or professional services industry.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in one or more of the following areas: professional recruiting, executive coaching, career development services at a law school, business or administrative role in law firm or a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet individually with attorneys to serve as a trusted coach and strategic thought and accountability partner in various areas, such as career planning and advancement, goal setting, effective communication, relationship building, wellbeing, career transitions, delegation, and leadership.
  • Design, implement, and manage professional skills and career development content and collateral for resource guides, internal programs, retreats, alumni events, and summer associate and attorney training academies.
  • Assist with designing and facilitating programming related to coaching and professional skills topics.
  • Develop internal and external thought leadership on coaching and professional skills topics.
  • Assist with promoting and scaling the firm’s coaching program.
  • Monitor and report on general trends and best practices in career coaching, leadership development, hiring and employment trends, and other coaching and professional development topics generally, and within the legal industry.
  • Identify, track and report on aggregate themes from coaching sessions.
  • Assist with developing and facilitating group coaching programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coaching certificate from an ICF accredited coaching program preferred.
  • Experience conducting team/group coaching.
