Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent: General Studies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA)
- 2+ years cardiology and/or cardiac device experience
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates ability to generate diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
- Acts as resource, fielding questions from medical staff about diagnostic testing.
- Demonstrates ability to handle more difficult situations with objectivity.
- Provides education for patients and families.
- Assists other members of the staff maintain skills in performing diagnostic testing.
- Schedules appointments in the computer per testing guidelines, and makes all attempts to meet the customers expectations.
- Utilizes critical thinking in implementing and coordinating medical and nursing interventions as evidenced by observation and feedback.
- Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and direct care in an emergency situation.
- Coordinate care with the referring provider for issues specific to the service.
- All other duties as assigned.
